The Adrian Edwards award for best use of datasets

in partnership with

Barb_FullLockUp_DarkTeal

We're delighted to be working with Barb for a third year in honouring the late Adrian Edwards of TechEdge in the renaming of this award to The Adrian Edwards award for Best Use of Datasets. Money raised from entry fees for this award will go to Bibic, a charity that delivers therapeutic programmes to children and young adults and is based near where Adrian Edwards lived in Taunton, Somerset. In addition, the company with the winning entry will receive a £1,000 bursary from Barb to be used for training purposes to develop the next generation of research leaders.

Media researchers are constantly challenged with drawing insights and driving business decisions using a vast range of data sources. This award is dedicated to the most innovative and best use of a combination of data sets to meet a business challenge. This can cover ‘Big data’, server data, user databases, client databases, return path data or sales data, fusions between them or hybrid approaches. The data could be used exclusively to deliver insight or integrated with survey research. The emphasis should be on the methods used to bring the sources together to produce insights and on the value delivered as a result.
