100% Media 0% Nonsense - Editor Omar Oakes' Monday column and the latest articles by The Media Leader

| View in browser   ‘Pulling out’ of Russia must mean getting tough on ad fraud    Great things can come out of the worst tragedies. Without the horrors and strife of the Second World War, we might not have the United Nations or the NHS. We certainly wouldn't have Dad's Army.   The Russia sanctions imposed on businesses should be seen as a massive opportunity to clean up the scourge of ad fraud, much of which operates out of Russia.    As I write in today's article, it's not enough for advertisers and their media agencies to announce they are 'pulling out' of Russia unless they get serious about stopping billions flowing to the country through ad fraud, too.   If you're not already a subscriber, please check out our menu of daily newsletters here; they each have a different flavour but all contain the latest features, news and analysis about everything happening in media.    Omar Oakes Editor, The Media Leader omar.oakes@mediatel.co.uk @OmarOakes Today on The Media Leader UKTV relaunches W as free-to-air channel Why Barbuda tourism has an 'off the beaten track' media strategy 100% Media Roundup: Telegram, Nielsen, David Beckham UPCOMING EVENTS DOWNLOAD MEDIA PACK SEASON TICKETS The Media Leader, Burleigh House, 357 Strand, London, WC2R 0HS Manage preferences |
